Forschungsbereiches
Im Bereich Personalisierte Medizin erforscht das MOLIT Institut individualisierte Therapieansätze auf Basis molekularer Tumorprofile. Ziel ist es, Behandler:innen in der Krebsmedizin dabei zu unterstützen, gezielte Therapien einzuleiten – abgestimmt auf die genetischen Besonderheiten der einzelnen Patienten.
Durch datenbasierte Auswertungen, KI-gestützte Tools und den Zugang zu komplexen molekularen Informationen soll die klinische Entscheidungsfindung in der Onkologie optimiert werden. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf der Übertragung innovativer Forschungserkenntnisse in die Praxis.
Molekulares Tumorboard
Das molekulare Profil einer Tumorerkrankung ermöglicht Behandlern in der Krebsheilkunde, eine spezialisierte, individualisierte Therapie einzuleiten. Die Diskussion und Interpretation der komplexen genomischen Befunde erfolgt interdisziplinär im Molekularen Tumorboard (MTB) in Zusammenarbeit mit externen Kliniken und Laboren unter zusätzlicher Identifikation von geeigneten klinischen Studien für die onkologischen Patient:innen.
