The MOLIT Institute is a trend-setting combination of the two existing expertise areas of medicine (Tumor Center Heilbronn-Franken of the SLK-Kliniken Heilbronn GmbH) and IT (GECKO Institute for Medicine, Informatics and Economy of the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences) in Heilbronn, with the aim of developing concepts for application-oriented personalized medicine and health care. The focus is on developing innovative, tailor-made therapies for cancer diseases and their rapid translation into standard medical care.

Together with other biomedical partners, a medical network of excellence is being established, which is expected to have an impact far beyond the Heilbronn-Franken region. In the concept of the rapidly growing knowledge city Heilbronn, the MOLIT Institute is expanding the spectrum of the university in research and teaching and thus also offers excellent perspectives for ambitious young scientists in interdisciplinary teams.
